Born St.Helens, Lancashire in 1950. Attended Cowley Grammar School. Became an English teacher and taught in the North East of England for 35 years. He co-wrote a number of musicals including Shakespeare The Musical and The Journey (produced at the Millenium Dome in 2000). He enjoys history, visiting castles and reading historical novels. His first nine novels are all set in the 1st century AD in the northern half of England. He has also written a thriller, Carnage at Cannes as well as 9 Sword of Cartimandua novels.
He has now published a KS3 Novel , Great Granny's Ghost which has been purchased by a number of schools and he is now doing author days in the schools which have bought sets of the novel. He is also undertaking public speaking as an author having done a number of award ceremonies.
